Well it's Sunday, literally the worst day of the week. I remember when everything was closed on Sundays, it was a mandatory day off for pretty much everyone. Then, about the time I entered the work force, we started opening from noon to five on Sundays because we sold "souveniers". These souveniers were things like some lobster fingernail clippers and paper flags. They took up probably less than 1% of our store, but because we sold them, I got to work on Sundays.
Then the government said "screw it, let's just stay open on Sundays year round, but only from noon to five, so good Christian people can still attend their two church services every week."
Did anyone notice the stores being all sneaky and extending their hours? The next thing I know stores are open from ten to six! That's an eight hour work day! In some places Walmart is open until ten at night every day of the week, including Sundays! Why don't they just get rid of the whole "Sunday is sacred" crap and just make it a regular day already? That's what they are inching towards. They only need to open one hour earlier to make it the same as some Saturday hours.
By the time I ever get the energy to do anything it is after six in the evening. So that's the real reason why I hate Sundays.
